The equipment was commissioned on Tuesday at the Bauchi State Government House by the Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Auwal Jatau.
The ultrasound machines are expected to enable health facilities to provide free scans for pregnant women and support the early detection of pregnancy-related complications.
According to the board, early diagnosis will help facilitate timely referral and medical intervention, particularly for women requiring specialised care.
The distribution of the anti-shock garments is also expected to strengthen the capacity of health workers to manage obstetric emergencies and provide timely care to women experiencing severe complications.
