The Know Your Neighbor Community Development Association (CDA) has visited the Kano State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to strengthen collaboration in the fight against drug abuse and illicit trafficking.
The delegation, led by the Chairman of the Association, Comrade Sani Garba, paid the courtesy visit to the NDLEA headquarters in Kano, where discussions focused on community-based strategies to address the growing drug menace.
Speaking during the visit, Comrade Garba commended the NDLEA for its sustained efforts in curbing the spread of illicit drugs across Kano State.

He also welcomed the newly posted NDLEA State Commander, Alhaji Dahiru Lawan, and assured him of the Association’s readiness to support the agency’s activities at the grassroots level.
Responding, Commander Lawan expressed appreciation for the visit and described community participation as vital to the success of the fight against drug abuse.
He pledged the Command’s commitment to partnering with the Know Your Neighbor CDA to intensify public awareness campaigns, particularly targeting youths and women.

The NDLEA State Commander further explained that the agency would continue to organize sensitization programmes and community outreach initiatives aimed at educating residents on the health, social, and economic consequences of drug abuse.
The visit reflects the Know Your Neighbor CDA’s commitment to community development and social welfare, as well as its proactive role in addressing critical social challenges.
Both the NDLEA and the Know Your Neighbor CDA expressed optimism that the partnership would help strengthen efforts to combat drug trafficking and promote a drug-free and healthier society in Kano State and beyond.
