The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore, has assured the people of Kano State of more quality and consistent legislation aimed at improving their standard of living in 2025.

In a goodwill message released by his spokesperson, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, Falgore expressed confidence that the new year will bring even better legislation, despite the challenging economy.

The Speaker highlighted the significant achievements of the House of Assembly in 2024, including the passage of over 20 bills and 217 motions sponsored by Honourable Members. These legislative efforts focused on key areas such as education, water supply, healthcare services, and more.

Falgore emphasized the importance of their constitutional obligations, citing the recent passage of notable bills, including the Kano State Pension and Gratuity Amendment Bill 2024, the Yusuf Maitama Sule University Amendment Bill 2024, and the 2025 Appropriation Bill.
As we enter the new year, Falgore extended warm wishes to the people of Kano State, affirming that “the year 2025 will be a watershed in terms of quality legislation for the people of Kano”.
