Sanni Dutsinma
Muslims across the country have been urged to conduct their daily activities in line with the teachings of the Holy Qur’an and the traditions of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) in order to attain success in this world and the hereafter.
The charge was given by the Leader of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS) in Dutsinma Local Government Area, Alhaji Badamasi Sulaiman Karofi, during the 10th Qur’anic Graduation Ceremony of Baitulsalam Islamiyya School held in Dutsinma, Katsina State.
Alhaji Karofi emphasized that when parents play their role effectively by instilling moral and religious values in their children, societal problems such as involvement in the Quraniyyun sect, political thuggery, hooliganism, banditry, and other social vices would be greatly reduced.
He further called on the Muslim Ummah to consistently adhere to the teachings of the Holy Qur’an and Hadith so as to become responsible and productive members of society, whose conduct others can emulate.
In their remarks, the District Head of Dutsinma, Alhaji Sada Mohammed Sada represented by the Barayan Yandaka, Sani Abdullahi DK and the Chairman of Dutsinma Local Government Area, Alhaji Kabir Shema represented by Malam Ahmed Sa’id advised Muslims, regardless of sect or gender, to invest in Islamic education in preparation for the Day of Judgment.
Also speaking at the event, Malam Iliyasu Imam and Malam Daha Abdullahi SA, both religious leaders in Dutsinma, appealed to parents to ensure prompt payment of school fees.
They explained that the funds would help support teachers’ welfare and improve the standard of teaching and learning in the school.
They further urged the graduating students to continue their pursuit of knowledge by advancing in both Western and Islamic education, stressing that this would enable them to become useful and responsible members of their communities.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of certificates to over 48 graduating students, the conferment of merit awards on distinguished individuals who contributed to the development of the school, and a debate demonstration showcasing how Muslims are expected to combine sound learning with proper practice of Islam.
