Agbamuche-Mbu obtained her LL.B from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) in 1984. She later qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales, further earning an LL.M in Commercial and Corporate Law, as well as postgraduate diplomas in International Dispute Resolution and International Business Law.

With a legal career spanning over 30 years, Agbamuche-Mbu has distinguished herself in both the private and public sectors. She was Principal Partner at Norfolk Partners, Lagos, and previously served on the Presidential Projects Assessment Committee (2010–2011).
In 2016, she contributed to the Solid Minerals Sector Roadmap, and since 2017, she has served as an INEC National Commissioner.
Agbamuche-Mbu also made her mark in legal journalism as the Editor of THISDAY LAWYER, where she shaped public discourse on national legal and governance issues.

A Chartered Arbitrator and former Secretary of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Nigeria), Agbamuche-Mbu has authored over 120 “LEGAL EAGLE” editorials (2014–2016).
