All is now set for the formal unveiling of Nigeria’s hosting of the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) Abuja 2026, an event that promises to spotlight the nation’s growing influence in global communication and public relations.

The National Planning Committee (NPC) of the WPRF Abuja 2026, chaired by Dr. Suleiman Haruna, has concluded all arrangements for the National Unveiling Ceremony, which will serve as the official kick-off of activities leading up to the international gathering.

The unveiling — designed as a hybrid event to ensure both physical and virtual participation — will take place on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the NAF Conference Centre, Abuja, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

According to the Committee, the hybrid format reflects its commitment to flexibility, inclusiveness, and broader engagement with both local and international audiences.

    Key Dignitaries Expected

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, fnipr, will deliver the keynote address, while four key ministers will also feature as guest speakers. They include:

    Isa Kaita College

Hon. Amb. Yusuf M. Tuggar, OON, Minister of Foreign Affairs

Hon. Hannatu Musa Musawa, Minister of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy

    Ash Noor

Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Minister of Interior

Hon. Festus Keyamo, CON, SAN, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development

    A Global Spotlight for Nigeria

The NPC has urged the media to give the unveiling ceremony wide coverage, describing it as “a spectacular two-hour event” that marks the beginning of an exciting journey toward WPRF Abuja 2026.

“The unveiling will also signal the commencement of Early Bird Registration with special discounts for delegates, while attracting significant media attention and opening doors for active sponsorship drives within Nigeria and internationally,”
said Dr. Suleiman Haruna, Chairman of the Committee.

He expressed confidence that the event will firmly position WPRF Abuja 2026 on the global map, generate excitement, and reaffirm Abuja’s readiness to host communication professionals from across the world in November 2026.

    Nigeria Takes the Lead

The World Public Relations Forum is a flagship global event of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, bringing together leaders, scholars, and practitioners to share insights on emerging trends in communication and reputation management.

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), as the host institute, constituted the National Planning Committee comprising top communication professionals to coordinate preparations and ensure the successful hosting of WPRF 2026.

With the National Unveiling Ceremony set to take place, Nigeria takes a significant step toward hosting what is expected to be one of the most impactful international communication gatherings on African soil.
