The Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has approved the redeployment of two Commissioners in the State Executive Council as part of efforts to strengthen the administrative machinery and enhance good governance.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, and made available to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi.
According to the SSG, the decision aligns with Governor Idris’s vision to reposition the state’s civil service for effective and efficient service delivery across all sectors.
The statement listed the affected Commissioners as Samaila Yakubu Augie, who has been redeployed to the Ministry of Health, and Haliru Aliyu Wasagu, who will now oversee the Ministry of Internal Security.
Alhaji Tafida noted that the redeployment was a strategic move aimed at improving administrative performance and fostering better coordination among ministries.
He added that Governor Idris expressed appreciation for the continued support and cooperation of members of the State Executive Council, which he said had contributed immensely to the successes recorded by the administration so far.
