The Kano Operations Office of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has successfully conducted another session of its in-house training series, with a focus on flood disaster management and associated public health implications.
The training, held on December 17, 2025, recorded strong participation from staff members, who actively engaged in scientific and technical discussions aimed at improving disaster response capacity. Participants shared practical insights and experiences, reflecting a commitment to continuous professional development in emergency and disaster management.
Key issues relating to flooding and its consequences were extensively discussed during the session, reinforcing the agency’s preparedness to respond effectively to flood-related emergencies and other natural disasters.
