The CAS Alumni Association, IJMB Class of 2005, has marked the 20th anniversary of its graduation with a grand ceremony in Kano, celebrating two decades of unity, achievements, and contributions to education and society.
The event, held in Kano, attracted alumni and guests from across the country, reflecting the strong bond and continued relevance of the association.
As part of the celebration, the alumni honoured some former and serving teachers of the institution in recognition of their outstanding roles in shaping the academic excellence, discipline, and moral upbringing of members of the Class of 2005.
The association also donated lecture podiums, whiteboard markers, and other essential teaching and learning materials to the school, reinforcing its commitment to supporting education and improving the learning environment.
Speaking during the event, the President of the Association, Mr. Mustapha Habib Abbas, expressed satisfaction with the level of unity and commitment among members, noting that the anniversary provided an opportunity to reflect on shared experiences and give back to the institution that laid the foundation for their success.
He reaffirmed the association’s determination to strengthen bonds among members while sustaining its contributions to education and community development.
In a show of solidarity, the alumni also extended financial and moral support to some of their members facing health and other life challenges, underscoring the group’s commitment to mutual support and welfare.
The Secretary of the Association, Comrade Sami Garba, highlighted the journey of the association over the years and commended members for their unwavering support and dedication to its ideals.
The event recorded an impressive turnout of over 300 participants, including alumni and special guests who travelled from Jigawa, Zaria, Sokoto, and Katsina States, adding colour and prestige to the celebration.
One of the participants, Bashir Abba, popularly known as Bashcool, from Dutse, Jigawa State, expressed gratitude over the successful reunion and prayed for continued unity and progress among members of the association.
