The Directorate of Human Resources and Administration of the National Broadcasting Commission NBC has organised a pivotal two-day in-house training aimed at sensitizing staff on the Federal Government’s newly introduced Performance Management System (PMS).
The reform, endorsed by President Bola Tinubu, is designed to drive digital transformation and enhance excellence in public service delivery across government institutions.
The workshop, facilitated by experts from the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, focused on transitioning from the traditional appraisal system to a more dynamic, data-driven performance management approach.
Facilitators, Nwachukwu John and Afeez Yusuf Adeleye, enlightened participants on the importance of aligning individual responsibilities with the Commission’s strategic objectives, promoting effective service delivery, teamwork, and strengthening accountability at all levels within the Commission.
Director of Human Resources and Administration, Dr. Lola Uket, concluded the training with a vote of thanks, commending both the facilitators and participants for their commitment throughout the session.
She urged staff to apply the knowledge gained from the workshop, stressing that the Performance Management System has become an integral and permanent component of the Commission’s operations in promoting accountability and improved productivity.
