A total of 118 medical doctors and 15 dentists took the oath of allegiance, formally joining the noble professions of medicine and dentistry.

Administering the oath, the Registrar of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), Dr. Fatima Kyari, charged the new inductees to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and patient confidentiality.

She also announced that the MDCN had recently increased the admission quota for medical students at BUK, a move aimed at addressing the shortage of doctors in Nigeria.
