A Political Pressure Group in the North-West Zone, “Bring Back Our Goodluck”(BBOG) has urged former President Goodluck Jonathan to return to contest the 2027 presidential election, describing him as the leader best positioned to rescue Nigeria from current economic hardship.
The group made the appeal at a press conference on Sunday in Kano, addressed by its National Coordinator, Dr. Grema Kyari.

Kyari said Nigerians were misled in 2015 into voting out Jonathan, adding that the present administration had failed to deliver on its promises.
He stressed that Jonathan’s previous tenure offered the country economic stability, affordable food and fuel prices, and youth empowerment through programmes such as YouWin, SURE-P and the Agricultural Transformation Agenda.
Kyari also argued that Jonathan’s global reputation as a peace mediator and his record of conceding defeat in 2015 showed that he valued the unity of the country above personal ambition.

The group appealed to opposition leaders, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Mr. Peter Obi, Nasir El-Rufai, Rauf Aregbesola and others to unite and support Jonathan’s comeback bid in 2027.
“We must shelve personal interests and place the survival of Nigerians above everything else”
He urged Nigerians, especially from the North-West, to rally behind the movement.
“Let us bring back Goodluck, bring back prosperity and rescue Nigeria in 2027” he said.
