Wife of the Jigawa State Governor, Hajiya Amina Umar Namadi, has expressed deep concern over the abduction of 25 schoolgirls from Government Girls’ Comprehensive Secondary School, Maga, in Kebbi State.
Reacting to the incident in a post on her official Facebook page, Mrs. Namadi said her heart aches for the families of the victims.
“My heart aches for the families of the 25 schoolgirls abducted from Government Girls’ Comprehensive Secondary School in Maga, Kebbi State,” she wrote.
She described the attack as a painful tragedy and “an assault on innocent lives, on education, and on our collective hope.”
Mrs. Namadi expressed solidarity with the people and government of Kebbi State, as well as the parents of the abducted students, praying for their safe and swift return.
“I pray earnestly to Allah for the safe and swift return of these students,” she added.
She also mourned the death of Brigadier General Musa Uba, who lost his life during the incident, describing him as a brave soldier who paid the ultimate price for the country. She prayed for Allah to grant him Jannah and comfort his grieving family.
Mrs. Namadi called for unity and collective action to ensure the safety of children across the country.
“Let us come together, support our communities, and demand that our children are protected always,” she said.
She concluded with prayers for comfort for affected families, protection for the kidnapped girls, justice against the perpetrators, and divine reward for the fallen general.
