The Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Muhammad Usman Zuru, has died at a hospital in Egypt where he had been receiving medical treatment.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Yahaya Sarki, confirmed the development to Radio Nigeria’s correspondent in Birnin Kebbi, stating that the Speaker passed away on Monday night.

The late lawmaker, who represented Zuru Constituency, had reportedly been battling health challenges for some time. He was widely regarded as a key figure in Kebbi State politics and served as Speaker of the State Assembly.
Before his death, he had travelled to Egypt for treatment over an undisclosed illness.
