Former Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs in Kano State, Comrade Baba Halilu Dantiye, has paid a condolence visit to the National Secretary of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Comrade Wasilah Ibrahim Ladan, over the death of her mother, Hajiya Sadiya Ibrahim Ladan.
Speaking during the visit on Wednesday, Comrade Dantiye described death as an inevitable decree of Allah, urging the bereaved family to remain steadfast and draw strength from their faith.
He prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, grant her Aljannah Firdaus, and give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Comrade Dantiye also commended Comrade Wasilah Ladan for her dedication to journalism and resilience, assuring her of his continued support and solidarity.
Responding, the NAWOJ National Secretary expressed gratitude to the former Commissioner and members of his delegation for the condolence visit, describing the gesture as a reflection of love, unity and brotherhood.
Comrade Wasilah prayed that Almighty Allah would reward everyone who stood by her family during the period of mourning.
The former Commissioner was accompanied on the visit by friends, family members, colleagues and other dignitaries.
