The Emir of Zazzau,Alhaji Ahmad Nuhu Bamali, has called on citizens to promptly report security challenges and suspicious activities in their communities to relevant security agencies to help tackle insecurity.
The monarch made the appeal during the annual ten-day Ramadan breakfast held at the Emir’s Palace in Zaria, stressing the importance of collective responsibility in addressing security concerns.
Emir Bamali urged residents not to remain silent when they observe suspicious movements, noting that timely information sharing with security agencies would significantly enhance efforts to maintain peace and safety.
He also expressed concern over the rising menace of drug abuse among young people, calling on parents and guardians to closely monitor their children and guide them away from harmful behaviors.
The Emir congratulated Muslims within his emirate and across the world on witnessing the holy month of Ramadan and urged them to intensify prayers for peace, unity, and national stability. He emphasized the importance of seeking divine intervention to overcome Nigeria’s security challenges.
The Ramadan breakfast brought together traditional title holders, district, village, and ward heads, Islamic clerics, Christian leaders, and senior government officials from within and outside Kaduna State.
The Emir reaffirmed the role of community cooperation, responsible parenting, and spiritual reflection as key elements in strengthening security and social harmony.
