The Kano State Police Command has commenced the inaugural celebration of National Police Day 2025 with a stakeholders meeting, marking the beginning of a week-long series of events aimed at fostering community engagement, partnership, and trust building.
The celebration, which will run from April 2nd to 7th, 2025, is in line with the presidential directive to commemorate the vital role of the police in promoting peace and security in Nigeria.

As part of the celebration, the Command has planned various events, including:
Community Cleanup: A sanitation exercise on April 3rd, 2025, to promote a cleaner and safer environment.
School Outreach: A visit to schools on April 4th, 2025, to engage with students on safety and positive relationships with the police.
Free Medical Services: A medical outreach program on April 5th, 2025, to provide free health services to communities.
Police Commited to Press Freedom, Protection of Civic Space-IGP
Walkathon: A unity walk on April 5th, 2025, to symbolize partnership and strength between the police and the community.
Public Enlightenment: A sensitization program on April 6th, 2025, to educate the public on security as a collective responsibility.
Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Adamu Bakori appreciated stakeholders for their support and encouraged everyone to participate in the celebration, promoting a safer and more united society.
