Kano State schools have resumed for the second term of the 2024/2025 academic session, with a good turnout of teachers and students reported across various schools.
According to Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, Director of Public Enlightenment at the Kano State Ministry of Education, most schools opened between 7:30 am and 8:00 am, with minimal absenteeism.

The State Commissioner of Education, Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda, expressed appreciation for the turnout and urged principals and head teachers to maintain the momentum.
He also thanked parents and guardians for their cooperation, which he believes has contributed to the government’s efforts to boost education standards .

Dr. Makoda reiterated the administration’s commitment to promoting access to quality education through various programs.
Jigawa State Government Announces Resumption Date for Schools
He emphasized the importance of teamwork among teaching staff to deliver expected results.
As part of the resumption tradition, the state ministry of education and its parastatals conducted a school assessment monitoring exercise to ensure good performance.
