Upon his appointment, many people from across Kano hailed the Governor for appointing the former Chairman of the Task Force Committee on the revival of the 26 abandoned Kano State Entrepreneurship institutions to head the Ministry of Finance, describing it as well-deserved and timely.
This is a clear testament to his hard work, dedication, commitment, and loyalty to Kwankwasiyya ideals.
His tenacity knows no boundaries, as he understands quite well that it’s not the strength of the body that counts, but the strength of the spirit and that’s what makes Dr. Ismail Danmaraya unique among others.
Dr. Ismail Danmaraya, a seasoned academician, financial strategist, and grassroots politician to the core, is certainly a personality who gives his all and seizes every possible opportunity to achieve success throughout his career.
A silent achiever par excellence, whose pedigree knows no boundaries when it comes to hard work, dedication, and utmost respect for upholding due process.
His achievements from reputable journal publications, both national and international, in the areas of economics, finance, and management research, are well-deserved.
His outstanding service and exceptional contributions to the economic and financial sector will not go unnoticed by the people of Kano State as a whole.
Dr Danmaraya who was a consultant, a lecturer at Northwest University, Kano as well as AUN serves as an exemplary character whose contributions to the educational Sector in Kano and Nigeria brought him into a limelight.
He holds B.Sc and M.Sc. degrees in Economics from Bayero University, Kano. He equally obtained his Ph.D in Economics from Utara University, Malaysia.
Danmaraya background in Management research and economic development is certainly recognized both within the academic and public lives.
His boldness, commitment, and selfless service will be felt by Kanawa as he takes on his role as the new Commissioner of Finance.
The appointment is a clear indication of His Excellency, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf’s resolve to reposition and turn around the Ministry of Finance.
