Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN), Kano, has received a Canada-based business leader on a courtesy visit to strengthen partnerships in education and international business.
The visitor, Mr. Sanjay Shrivastava, is the Director of Pollsifi Technology Incorporation, Canada, and also serves as Director of the Committee on International Trade at the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce.

He was received by the President of the University, Prof (Dr ) Mohammad Israr, alongside members of the university management, who reiterated MAAUN’s commitment to expanding access to quality higher education and fostering global collaborations.
During the visit, Prof. Israr led the guest on a guided tour of the university, alongside the VP Admin , Dr Habib Awais Abubakar, and other members of the senior management team.

The tour provided insight into the institution’s academic programmes, facilities, and international outlook.
Mr. Shrivastava was accompanied by Mr. Rajneesh Srivastava, a Kano-based businessman engaged in agro trade and hospitality, and Mr. Navin Kumar, an industrialist with strong involvement in trade and industry.
Speaking during the visit, Mr. Shrivastava expressed appreciation for the warm reception and commended the university’s rapid development and vision for academic excellence.

He noted that institutions like MAAUN play a vital role in bridging education with industry and global opportunities.
