The Director-General of the Kano State Information and Communication Technologies Development Agency (KASITDA), Bashir Abdu Muzakkari, says the adoption of modern digital technology has become essential in improving government operations and enhancing public service delivery in Kano State.
Dr. Bashir Abdu Muzakkari made the statement during a working visit to the Kano State Ministry of Health to discuss strategies for expanding the use of digital technology in healthcare services and administration.
According to him, the visit forms part of the implementation of the Kano State Digital Transformation Agenda 2025–2030 introduced by the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to modernise government activities through technology-driven solutions.
The KASITDA Director-General stressed the need for the integration of modern technology in healthcare administration, data management and effective decision-making processes within the health sector.
He explained that the agency would collaborate closely with the Ministry of Health to ensure more efficient, transparent and accessible healthcare services for residents through the application of digital solutions.
Dr. Bashir Abdu Muzakkari added that the partnership would also support efforts aimed at improving accountability and strengthening service delivery across the healthcare system in the state.
Officials of the Ministry of Health commended KASITDA for its commitment to innovation and public sector development, while expressing readiness to work with the agency towards the successful implementation of digital healthcare transformation initiatives in Kano State.
