Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has welcomed members of the Katsina Youth in Politics (KASYPO) back to the All Progressives Congress (APC), following the group’s decision to support his administration and development agenda.
Governor Radda received the KASYPO delegation, led by Comrade Hassan Bindawa, at the Government House in Katsina, where the youths formally declared their return to the APC.
The Governor said the decision demonstrated the youths’ ability to distinguish between politicians genuinely committed to serving the people and those seeking to deceive them.
“One can tell the difference between a politician who comes with the intention to deceive the people and one who genuinely intends to help them,” Radda said.
He urged the youths to remain patient and focused in politics, advising them against pursuing too many ambitions simultaneously, which he said could hinder their progress.
Earlier, KASYPO leader, Comrade Hassan Bindawa, explained that some members of the group had initially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the hope of securing greater opportunities for youths and women to participate meaningfully in politics.
He said the group later concluded that there was no clear pathway for young people to play the roles they had envisaged.
Bindawa said the group decided to return to the APC and support Governor Radda after assessing his administration’s development projects and efforts to create opportunities for young people.
“We decided to support Governor Radda because of his development projects and the opportunities he is creating for youths. Even if everyone cannot get a position or direct opportunity, we can see the opportunities being created by his administration,” he said.
He added that the decision was also influenced by the Governor’s commitment to youth inclusion and development.
Also speaking, KASYPO patron, Dr. Biliyaminu Ingawa, said the youths themselves requested to visit the Governor to formally declare their loyalty and support.
Ingawa said he led the delegation at the youths’ request, describing their return to the APC as a demonstration of confidence in the Radda administration.
