A World Bank delegation, led by the Task Team Leader (TTL) of the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) project, Dr. Joy Iganya Agene, visited the Kano State Project Management Unit (SPMU) on a Due Diligence Mission.

Upon arrival at the State Office today, the visiting team held a technical meeting with the SPMU staff at the Conference Hall of the Kano-ACReSAL office.

During the meeting, Dr. Agene emphasized that the mission aims to ensure that all aspects of the project are in order and that the investments are safe, justified, and aligned with the Project Development Objectives.
The mission also includes an assessment of systems and operations, along with a review of project documents to identify any red flags or areas requiring improvement.
The visiting team comprises Dr. Joy Iganya Agene (TTL, ACReSAL Nigeria), Mr. Anas Abba Kyari (Senior Procurement Specialist), Mrs. Ukaria (Financial Management Specialist), Mr. Andy Mawuli (Head of Operations and Community Resilience), Engr. Ayo (World Bank), and Alhaji Musa Shuaibu (Expert Advisor for Landscape Restoration and Wetland Management, Federal Project Management Unit.)
