The Jigawa State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has inaugurated state and local government coordinating committees in preparation for joining the emerging All Democratic Alliance (ADA) coalition.
State coordinating committee chairman for the PDP’s coalition process, Dr Aminu Abdullahi Taura, stated this while speaking to newsmen shortly after inaugurating the 27 local government coordinating committees in Dutse.

He said, the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Jigawa state is getting itself ready to join (ADA) the coalition movement.
Dr . Taura explained that the decision followed consultation and discussion with relevant stakeholders in the state aimed at dislodging the ruling party coming the 2027 general elections.
According to him, “after taking the decisions to join the coalition, we met and inaugurated the state coordinating committee to oversee the process of PDP joining the coalition, we also inaugurated the same committee at the local government level.”
“The local government committees will also go to wards and polling units to ensure proper coordination of the committees at the grassroots ”

It was reported that the former Governor of Jigawa State Sule Lamido said he would be part of any movement that may end the APC’s administration.
The chairman noted that the party leadership under Sule Lamido is holding a meeting with the movement formation on how to form a solid movement that can end the APC Government”
He therefore urged party members to remain united and wait for further directives.
