Wudil-based Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUST) continues to shine at the ongoing 27th Nigerian University Games Association (NUGA) Games, with level 400 student Musbahu Hamza Yalwa clinching the bronze medal in the 3000 meters race.
The championship, which is being hosted at the University of Jos, Plateau State, brings together over 91 universities from across the country competing in 24 sporting events.

ADUST has also secured medals in judo, winning gold in the 63kg category and silver in the heavyweight division. However, the university fell short in the quarterfinals of football and mixed doubles table tennis.
Speaking exclusively to reporters covering the games, ADUST’s Director of Sports, Abdulsalam Abubakar Shandy, described the university’s performance as a “huge success.”
He commended the unwavering support of Vice-Chancellor Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai and assured that the sports directorate would continue working to enhance the institution’s reputation in national sports

Abubakar Shandy also revealed that the directorate has concluded plans and strategies aimed at excelling in future zonal competitions and the NUGA Games proper. He expressed appreciation to the university’s stakeholders for their continued support and called on them to maintain momentum toward the overall development of sports in the institution.
