The African Aviation and Aerospace University, AAAU, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, with Kebal Krystal Works Limited, KKL, for the development of a hotel resort project at the University.
The agreement follows a series of engagements and discussions between the two parties on the proposed investment.
The KKL team, led by its Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Sahabo Bawuro, joined the University Management to formally conclude the discussions and sign the agreement.
The MoU outlines the responsibilities, expectations and commitments of both parties towards the successful delivery of the project.
During the engagement, the parties reviewed key aspects of the proposed development, including its feasibility, expected return on investment, projected revenue and long-term sustainability.
The discussions focused on ensuring that the investment is commercially viable and capable of delivering lasting value to the University.
The KKL team also presented its vision for the hotel resort, with emphasis on quality, functionality and long-term value for users.
In his remarks, the Acting Vice-Chancellor of AAAU, Dr Mustapha Sheikh Abdullahi, stressed the importance of integrity and sustainability in the development and implementation of the project.
Following the discussions, the University granted KKL access to the designated site to commence preliminary planning, assessment and evaluation of the available space in line with the agreed project requirements.
The preliminary stage is expected to last approximately six months, during which KKL representatives are expected to visit the site at least twice a week to monitor activities and ensure compliance with agreed plans and standards.
The signing of the MoU marks the beginning of the next phase of the proposed hotel resort project, moving the initiative from discussions and planning to preliminary assessment and development.
