He said the monthly stakeholders’ parley provides an opportunity for Ikeja Electric officials and affected consumers to discuss grievances, reach mutually acceptable agreements and resolve disputes amicably.
Musiliu urged consumers to follow established procedures when seeking redress rather than resorting to self-help. He advised complainants to provide supporting documents, including electricity bills, payment receipts and other relevant evidence, to facilitate investigations and prompt resolution.
He disclosed that the agency’s stakeholders’ parley with Ikeja Electric holds on the last Thursday of every month, providing a regular platform for consumers to present unresolved complaints and engage directly with the electricity distribution company.
Consumers were also encouraged to promptly report billing disputes, estimated billing, overbilling, electricity supply challenges and other alleged unfair practices.
