As Christians in Akwa Ibom State and across the world prepare to commemorate the death and resurrection of our LORD Jesus Christ, the State Police Command, under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, wishes to assure the general public of its steadfast resolve to ensuring the safety of lives and property before, during, and after the Easter celebrations.

The statement explained that, to this end, the Command has deployed adequate human and material resources across the 31 Local Government Areas of the State to ensure that the Easter season is celebrated peacefully and in an atmosphere free from fear or threats.
He pointed out that, high visibility policing has been activated with strategic deployment of personnel to churches, event centres, motor parks, major highways, recreational grounds, and other vulnerable points. Our men will embark on aggressive but professional foot and vehicular patrols across the state. All deployments are intelligence-driven, and officers have been warned to remain civil and respectful while discharging their duties.
John noted that,the CP congratulates all Christian faithful on the successful completion of the Lenten season, which is a solemn reminder of sacrifice, redemption, and hope. He calls on residents to celebrate responsibly, remain law-abiding, and be security conscious at all times.
