The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has recognized the outstanding contributions of several organizations and individuals to road safety in Kano.

At the 2024 end-of-the-year award night, the FRSC honored the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) for its commitment to reporting FRSC activities and creating awareness about safer roads.

Other awardees include the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kano State Council, Express Radio, the Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO), and philanthropist Alhaji Sani Yakasai.

Umar Matazu, Sector Commander of FRSC RS1.2 Kano, presented the awards, praising the awardees for their professionalism and dedication to promoting road safety.
Matazu emphasized the importance of collaboration between the FRSC and stakeholders in reducing road crashes and promoting a culture of road safety among Nigerians.

He also commended the staff of the Corps for their tireless efforts in making Nigerian roads safer and expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his unwavering support.
