The Kano State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has fixed January 31, 2026, for its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and election of new executive members.
The decision was reached at the end of a State Executive Council meeting held on Sunday, following the expiration of the tenure of the current executive council.

A statement issued by the Chapter disclosed that a five-man Electoral Committee has been constituted to organise and conduct the election during the AGM.
According to the statement, Malam Aminu Hamza will serve as Chairman of the committee, while Musbahu Aminu Yakasai will act as Secretary.
Other members of the committee are Malam Aminu Inuwa, Professor Mainasara Yakubu Kurfi, and Uba Abdullahi.
The Chapter also announced the formation of a 15-man Local Organising Committee (LOC) to oversee the general planning and smooth conduct of the Annual General Meeting.

The LOC is chaired by Aliyu Yusuf, with Usman Gwadabe serving as Secretary.
Further details regarding the venue and programme of activities for the AGM are expected to be communicated to members in due course.
