Northern Youth Assembly Condems Suspension Of ACF Forum Chair

WE ARE DISAPPOINTED AT THE BOT OF AREWA CONSULTATIVE FORUM (ACF) FOR SUSPENDING THE FORUM’S EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OVER COMMENT AGAINST TINUBU ANTI – PEOPLE POLICIES

The Northern Youth Assembly (Majalisar Matasan Arewa), is exceptionally disappointed at the BOT Leadership of Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), for suspending the Chairman of the National Executive Council Mr. Mamman Mike Osuman, SAN.

It has come to our notice that, Mr. Osuman was suspended for criticizing the Tinubu led administration’s anti – citizens’ policies, especially as it affects the innocent people of the North.

It is really true that, the TINUBU led administration anti-people’s policies has led to a wide-spread and untold hardship in the country

We, at the Northern Youth Assembly, a group that represents the youth in the nineteen Northern States, is concerned at this kind of drama which is being exhibited by people, who ought to be at the forefront of amplifying their voice on behalf of the masses, but had rather reduced themselves and the Forum to a mere agents of protecting TINUBU Government, despite the atrocities, evilly conceived policies, that have continued to oppress, impoverish and starve the Nigerian citizens

It is rather shameful that the ACF that is presumably expected to be on the side of the masses, but would resort to such incivility and undemocratic action, against one of its respected leader simply for speaking on behalf of the masses against the increasing anti people’s policies of Tinubu’s Government, the worst in the Nigerian democratic journey so far.

    Isa Kaita College

The shameful action of Arewa Consultative Forum, through the BOT is a clear indication that, ACF is not for the Arewa masses who bear much of the brunt of these anti human policies, which has pushed millions of Nigerians into abject poverty

The statement we received with utmost shock, that was jointly signed by Alhaji Bashir Muhammad Dalhatu (Wazirin Dutse) and Alhaji Murtala Aliyu (Matawallen Gombe), ACF Board of Trustees chairman and Secretary General, respectively, was indeed the highest order of disregard to the plight of the masses, ever executed by the Forum.

And it was clearly aimed at discrediting the personality of the respected Executive Chairman, without recourse to his long accumulated reputation, which he earned for himself over the years.

The action against the personality of the chairman, was impliedly aimed at pleasing President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, for self – serving interest and political ambition, despite the growing tendency of President Tinubu, of persecuting the people of Northern Nigeria, despite their political magnanimity to him in the 2023 general elections

Although, the action of ACF was apparently disgraceful, it was also characterized by ill motive, absence of protocol, desperation to exonerate self from any form of accusation, as the decision was too hasty and has displayed a high tendency of the absence of common logic and sense of team work and division of responsibility.

Why would BOT interfere with the day to day business of the forum, this of course is too unreasonable and unscientific. Although, the action of ACF did not come to us as a surprise, considering the fact that, after 24 years of the establishment of Arewa Consultative Forum, the organization has never achieved anything tangible that could vividly be seen to have supported in the development of Northern Nigeria, except organizing tea conferences and talk shows, for display of affluence, power and luxury

We therefore wish to unequivocally put out before the BOT of ACF, to as a matter of urgency lift the suspension of Mr. Mamman and restore all his powers and honour to him, within the next 7 days, or we shall be left with no other option but to mobilize the youths from the Nineteen Northern States, to take over the ACF secretariat in Kaduna, in the interest of the Northern Nigerian people, particularly the youths.

We are therefore of a strong opinion that Nigerians deserve better than what they are getting under the present Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration, who is hell bent on heeding to the dangerous, evil and anti – peoples economic policy advisory of organizations such as: IMF and World Bank, thereby rendering millions of Nigerians into a bad and unprecedented economic situation.

Therefore, unless necessary measures are taken to address these concerns, it won’t be out of place if a Northern Nigerian regional campaign is launched to call and support the emergence of a new capable person from the Northern Nigerian region come 2027, to take over the political ship of the country, especially as its obvious that, President Tinubu, is failing.
