The Terra Academy for the Arts (TAFTA) held its 4th Alumni Graduation Ceremony in Kano with pomp and pageantry.
The colourful occasion, which took place on Thursday, 9th of April, 2026, at Efficient Event Centre, Tukur Road, Kano was well attended by reputable personalities and organisations, including the President and Vice President of the Maryam Abacha American University, MAAUN, Kano, Professor (Dr) Mohammed Israr and Dr Habib Awais Abubakar respectively.
The MAAUN President appreciates the efforts of TAFTA Management in ensuring employment security.
As part of building partnership and mutual understanding, the MAAUN President informed the Management of TAFTA of the willingness to host TAFTA’s next graduation ceremony in MAAUN, Kano.
The event also marked TAFTA’s first decentralised Alumni graduation ceremony in Kano, celebrating the achievements of young creatives and professionals who have successfully completed intensive training programmes within the creative and technical industries.
Terra Academy For The Arts is a leading creative skills accelerator dedicated to equipping young Nigerians with relevant skills, entrepreneurial capabilities, and employment pathways within the rapidly expanding
creative economy.
Through programmes across Lagos, Kano, and Ogun States, for which thousands of young people have been empowered with practical competencies that enable them to build sustainable careers and contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s economic growth.
The ceremony equally convened government leaders, the private sector, stakeholders, development partners, and industry practitioners to celebrate the accomplishments of Terra graduates as well as showcase the transformative impact of skills
development in empowering young people.
The Chairman of SRA MEDIA LTD, publishers of Arewa Trust Newspaper, Mr Saka Raji Audu was also part of the dignitaries that attended the TAFTA Occasion in Kano.
