The President described Justice Argungu’s departure as a significant personal and national loss, remembering him as a distinguished jurist dedicated to serving humanity and Nigeria with integrity and commitment.

Justice Argungu had a remarkable career, starting as a teacher in the old Sokoto Province.

He was called to the bar in 1965 and later elevated to the Supreme Court bench in 1993. Interestingly, he also served as a visiting justice of the Supreme Court of the Gambia, showcasing his influence beyond Nigeria’s borders.
President Tinubu has offered prayers for the repose of Justice Argungu’s soul and extended heartfelt condolences to his family, the government, and the people of Kebbi State.

Justice Argungu was laid to rest in his hometown of Argungu, Kebbi State, following Islamic rites.
