Kano Pillars Football Club has expressed deep appreciation to Katsina United FC, the Government, and the people of the state for the support and hospitality extended to the club during its temporary relocation.
The appreciation follows Kano Pillars’ five home matches played at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina, in compliance with a directive from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
In a statement issued by the club’s Media and Communications Directorate, Kano Pillars said the period spent in Katsina was marked by peace, warmth, and strong support from football stakeholders and fans, which contributed positively to the team’s overall experience and performances.
The club specifically commended Katsina United FC, particularly its Chairman, Alhaji Baba Malumfashi, for the brotherly cooperation and assistance given to the Sai Masu Gida throughout the relocation period, describing the gesture as a true reflection of sportsmanship and unity in football.
Kano Pillars also acknowledged the Katsina State Football Association for its role in ensuring a smooth and successful hosting of the five matches played in the state.
Special appreciation was extended to Katsina United supporters and football fans, whose encouragement and passion made the team feel at home despite playing away from its traditional base.
As Kano Pillars prepares to return to the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano ahead of its next home fixture, the club said it leaves Katsina with fond memories and renewed respect for the football family in the state.
