Fresh from securing promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Doma United FC have begun preparations for the new season with the unveiling of Coach Deji Ayeni as the club’s new Technical Adviser.
The Savannah Tigers, determined to make a strong statement on their return to Nigeria’s top-flight league, have moved swiftly to strengthen their technical crew ahead of the forthcoming NPFL season.
Speaking during the unveiling ceremony, the club’s Chief Executive Officer, Alhaji Suleiman Umar, popularly known as Mai Doma, expressed confidence in Coach Ayeni’s capacity to lead the team successfully. He described the new Technical Adviser as an experienced tactician with a proven track record of building competitive teams capable of performing at the highest level.
According to the CEO, the appointment forms part of the club’s broader strategy to ensure stability and competitiveness as Doma United prepare for life in the elite division.
Umar also disclosed that Coach Najib Mabo, who guided the club back to the NPFL, will remain an important member of the technical setup and will work closely with Coach Ayeni.
He explained that Coach Mabo is currently pursuing the necessary coaching certifications required to manage a team in the NPFL and will continue contributing to the club’s technical development.
With pre-season activities already underway, players and officials are expected to intensify preparations as Doma United seek to consolidate their position in the top flight and achieve a successful campaign.
The appointment of Coach Ayeni comes amid ongoing restructuring efforts by the club aimed at strengthening its foundation and positioning the team for sustained success following its return to the NPFL.
