Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has convened a high-level strategic security meeting with heads of security agencies and other key stakeholders to strengthen measures aimed at protecting lives and property across the state.
The Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yahaya Sarki, disclosed this in a statement issued to journalists, saying the meeting was held at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi.
According to him, the meeting brought together representatives of the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), vigilante groups, officials of the Ministry of Internal Security, chairmen of the 21 local government areas, and members of the State Executive Council.
Sarki said the meeting forms part of Governor Idris’ proactive efforts to strengthen security across all 21 local government areas through enhanced collaboration among security agencies, improved intelligence sharing, and coordinated operational strategies.
He added that the meeting also reflects the governor’s commitment to regularly reviewing the state’s security situation to identify emerging threats, assess ongoing security operations, and adopt effective measures to sustain peace, stability, and public safety across Kebbi State.
