The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Dambatta Local Government Area Wing, has urged teachers to remain committed and dedicated to their responsibilities to ensure effective teaching and learning in primary schools across the area.
The Chairman of the NUT Dambatta Wing, Comrade Bashir Muhammad, made the call during an inspection visit to some primary schools under the Dambatta Local Education Authority.
Comrade Bashir emphasised the important role teachers play in shaping society, noting that their commitment, discipline and professionalism are essential to the educational and socio-economic development of the community.
He described education as a gateway to meaningful development and commended the Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, for what he described as his administration’s significant investment in the education sector.
According to him, the governor’s commitment to improving education has placed Kano State on a stronger footing in the sector.
The NUT Chairman also expressed appreciation to the Dambatta Local Government Council Chairman, Jamilu Abubakar Dambatta, and the Education Secretary, Malam Auwalu Abdulhamid, for their commitment to the development of education in the area.
He assured the local education authorities of the union’s continued support and cooperation, particularly in promoting discipline and encouraging both academic and non-academic staff to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of education in Dambatta.
Comrade Bashir further called on teachers to uphold the dignity of their profession and remain steadfast in the discharge of their duties for the benefit of pupils and the wider society.
