The Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) has successfully trained 40 master trainers from various secondary schools across the 44 local government areas of Kano State on multimedia content development and remote learning.
The training, whichh aimed to enhance digital literacy among adolescent girls, equipped teachers with essential digital knowledge and skills to integrate technology into their instructional practices effectively.

According to Malam Mujtaba Aminu, Project Coordinator of AGILE, “This training marks an important milestone in our efforts to enhance digital literacy among adolescent girls. By empowering teachers with digital skills, we aim to bridge the digital divide and ensure equal access to digital opportunities for all.”
The training covered various applications for mobile recording and editing, and participants were encouraged to apply their newfound skills to improve their teaching processes.
Musa Dan Azumi Muhammad, a participant, praised the training, stating that it would promote girl child education, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas.
AGILE Inaugurates 2nd Chance Education Center Gwarzo LGA Kano
The training Is part of AGILE’s broader initiative to support the development of digital literacy skills among adolescent girls in Kano State. With this training, AGILE aims to reach 100 schools in the first phase of implementation, supporting the training of students and providing access to digital content.
In addition, AGILE plans to train an additional 300 teachers from various secondary schools across the state, further expanding its reach and impact.
