The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has approved the redeployment of senior officers across the country in a bid to strengthen operations and improve service delivery.

The shake-up, announced over the weekend, includes the appointment of a new Corps Secretary, four Assistant Corps Marshals (ACMs) with strategic responsibilities, several Sector Commanders, and 61 other Corps Commanders in key formations nationwide.

At the top of the new postings, ACM G. Ntukidem, formerly ACM Personnel, has been named the new Corps Secretary at the FRSC National Headquarters, Abuja. Similarly, ACM J.W. Toby moves from the Policy Research and Statistics Department to assume duty as Zonal Commanding Officer (ZCO), RS11HQ Osogbo.

Other notable changes include the redeployment of ACM A.M. Hassan from Manpower Development in the Training Department to head the Technical Service Department, while ACM A. Sanusi, fresh from the National Defence College, has been appointed ACM Manpower Development in the Training Department.

The reshuffle also affected several state commands. CC S.O. Ayodele retains his position as Benue Sector Commander, while CC J.N. Alexander has been moved from Anambra to Delta State.

Their assignments span critical areas such as operations, administration, policy, logistics, training, research, data management, and medical services.

According to Corps Marshal Mohammed, the postings are part of ongoing reforms to “reinvigorate the operations of the Corps and consolidate its commitment to road safety management in Nigeria.”

He urged the affected officers to justify the confidence reposed in them and called on the motoring public to cooperate with the new appointees to sustain the campaign for safer highways nationwide.
