Kumbotso Local Government Council has been urged to prioritise legacy and grassroots-oriented projects to accelerate development and improve the welfare of its residents.
The call was made by the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on Local Government Matters, Hon. Bashir Abubakar Yaro Galadima, during an inspection visit to monitor the utilisation of the N300 million project fund approved for the 44 local government areas in Kano State.

Galadima stressed the importance of implementing impactful initiatives that would stand the test of time and drive sustainable progress in the community.
He particularly advised the council to channel resources into legacy projects in education, health, and infrastructure, noting that such interventions would not only uplift the lives of residents but also contribute to the overall development of the state.
As part of immediate directives, the SSA ordered the construction of girls’ toilets and the provision of furniture at Gadama Co-exist School in Gaida to enhance convenience and dignity for female students.

He commended the council for its exemplary performance and commitment to delivering meaningful projects that directly benefit the grassroots.
Earlier, the Council Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Ghali Basaf, represented by House Leader Hon. Nafiu Mariri, lauded Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his unwavering support. He said the governor’s interventions had enabled the council to execute laudable projects aimed at transforming the lives of citizens and fostering sustainable development.
Basaf expressed confidence that with continued state government support, Kumbotso Local Government would witness greater development and prosperity.
