Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has approved the payment of gratuity and death benefits to retired and deceased staff of the State Civil Service, contract staff, Local Government Councils, and Local Government Education Authorities.
The approval was contained in a statement issued by the Head of Service, Malami Shekare, and signed by the Director of Administration, Rashidu Muhammad-Bala.

According to the statement, the payments will be executed in two phases.
The first phase covers the period from March 16 to June 15, 2025, during which a total sum of ₦933,028,860.33 was paid to 404 beneficiaries.
The second phase spans June 16 to September 15, 2025, with ₦932,948,801.39 disbursed to 443 beneficiaries.
In total, ₦1.86 billion has been approved and released to 847 beneficiaries across the two phases.

The statement noted that the payment of these entitlements highlights the commitment of the Nasir Idris administration to the welfare of workers and the families of deceased staff, as well as its determination to clear outstanding liabilities within the state’s civil service.
