The Nasarawa State Police Command has confirmed the safe return of all abducted students of Nasarawa State University.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, Ramhan Nansel.
According to the statement, the successful rescue was achieved through the professionalism, resilience and unwavering commitment of security operatives involved in the operation.
The command stated that the rescued students have since been reunited with their families and are currently receiving medical attention and other necessary support.
The statement further disclosed that following sustained intelligence-led operations and coordinated tactical efforts by police operatives and other sister security agencies, two suspected kidnappers linked to the incident were arrested.
It added that efforts are ongoing to apprehend other fleeing members of the kidnapping syndicate.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Shetima Jauro Mohammed, commended members of the public for their support and cooperation, noting that timely information and collaboration significantly contributed to the success of the operation.
