The quarterly event is a platform at which innovators and inventors within the university display their works and ideas.

Prof Ahmed, ably represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic, Prof Raymond B Bako, expressed satisfaction with the innovations and ideas showcased at the fair.

Ahmed commended the Chairman of the Organising Committee, Prof Ken Okoli, and his team, for the efforts in bringing together different departments to display outstanding innovations and research outputs.

Also speaking, the Director, Directorate of Research and Innovation, Prof Joy J. Maina, lauded all the participants and encouraged them to partner with the directorate for their works to be properly patented.

Prof Maina also called for collaborations among departments, as some of the researches would be better carried out if scholars from different disciplines came together.

The academic departments that participated in the fair included Home Economics, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, as well as Mechatronics and Automotive Engineering.

Others were Soil Science, Industrial Design, Biochemistry, and Botany.

Equally, the Institute for Agricultural Research (IAR), and Africa Centre of Excellence on New Pedagogies in Engineering Education (ACENPEE) took part in event.

The Africa Centre of Excellence for Neglected Tropical Diseases and Forensic Biotechnology (ACENTDFB), National Animal Production Research Institute (NAPRI), and Centre for Energy Research and Training (CERT) also participated.
