Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, has described the overwhelming votes secured by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primaries as a reflection of public confidence in the administration’s leadership and policies.
Mustapha said the 10,999,162 votes recorded by President Tinubu, against the 16,503 votes polled by his challenger, Stanley Osifo, demonstrated widespread support for the president across the country.
According to the former SGF, the outcome of the primaries indicates that Nigerians continue to appreciate the achievements of the Tinubu administration in critical sectors such as infrastructure, power supply, healthcare, security, economic reforms, and road construction.
He noted that the administration’s reforms and development initiatives have strengthened public trust and positioned the APC for greater success in future elections.
Mustapha called on Nigerians to continue supporting President Tinubu to enable him sustain efforts toward delivering more dividends of democracy to citizens.
He also expressed optimism that the APC would emerge stronger and more united ahead of future electoral contests, describing the primary election outcome as a strong endorsement of President Tinubu’s leadership and vision for national development.
The former SGF further commended other aspirants who participated in the primaries, saying their involvement contributed to strengthening internal democracy within the party.
