Bayero University, Kano (BUK), has emerged winner of the Tug of War event at the recently concluded Kano Higher Institutions Staff Games Association (KASHIGA) competition.
The university secured the gold medal after overcoming teams from several higher institutions across Kano State, demonstrating strong teamwork, coordination and determination throughout the competition.

Institutions that participated in the event included North West University, School of Nursing, Kano, Federal University of Education, Kano, Audu Bako College of Agriculture, Capital City University, Kano, Federal College of Education (Technical), Bichi, College of Arts and Remedial Studies, Tudun Wada, and Aminu Kano College of Islamic and Legal Studies.

The victorious BUK team comprised Salim Rabiu Mohammed, Mustapha Mohammed Sheikh, Dr. Idris Ahmad, Ibrahim Yahuza and Idris Ibrahim.
Their impressive performance earned the university the coveted gold medal and added to BUK’s growing medal tally at the staff games.
