Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has approved the appointment of former lawmaker, Hon. Umar Musa Gama, popularly known as Umar Maggi, as Special Adviser on Assembly Matters.
The appointment was announced in a statement issued on Saturday by the Director General, Media and Publicity, Government House Kano, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

Hon. Umar Maggi, a seasoned politician, represented his constituency in the 9th Kano State House of Assembly, where he earned recognition for his effective legislative contributions and commitment to the development of Kano State.
Before his latest appointment, he served as Special Adviser on School Feeding, playing a key role in the implementation of the state’s school feeding programme.
Governor Yusuf expressed confidence that the new appointee’s extensive legislative experience and sound understanding of government processes would enhance collaboration and coordination between the Executive arm and the Kano State House of Assembly.

The governor also charged Hon. Maggi to deploy his experience, dedication and commitment in the discharge of his new responsibilities, with a view to supporting the administration’s efforts to deliver good governance and improved public service to the people of Kano State.
