The Kano State SERVICOM Directorate has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening collaboration with the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Programme (ROLAC II) of International IDEA to promote effective service delivery, accountability, transparency and improved public-sector performance.
The commitment was made during a maiden meeting between the new administrative leadership of the Kano SERVICOM Directorate and representatives of ROLAC II on Monday, October 5, 2026, at the SERVICOM Directorate in Kano.

The meeting, chaired by the Permanent Secretary of the Directorate, Hajjiya Hannatu Ado Gwaram, provided an opportunity for both parties to review the existing SERVICOM–ROLAC II partnership and assess progress recorded so far.
The meeting also focused on identifying priority areas for strengthened collaboration under the new administrative leadership, particularly in promoting citizen-centred public service delivery.
Speaking at the meeting, Gwaram appreciated ROLAC II for its continued engagement and support for initiatives aimed at promoting good governance, accountability and improved public service delivery.

She stressed the importance of partnerships with relevant development organisations in complementing government efforts to ensure that citizens receive efficient, effective, timely and responsive services.
The Permanent Secretary expressed the Directorate’s readiness to deepen its collaboration with ROLAC II, particularly in strengthening institutional performance, citizen engagement, accountability and the implementation of SERVICOM principles across Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of the Kano State Government.
Speaking on behalf of ROLAC II, the State Programme Coordinator, Ibrahim Bello, alongside the State Administrator, Anastasia Obodo, outlined areas of support and engagement with the SERVICOM Directorate.
The ROLAC II representatives reaffirmed the programme’s interest in sustaining constructive engagement with the Directorate and supporting initiatives that advance the rule of law, accountability and improved governance in the state.

The meeting further featured discussions on practical areas for enhanced collaboration, with both parties identifying priority actions and agreeing on a way forward for sustaining the partnership.
Both the Kano SERVICOM Directorate and ROLAC II expressed their shared commitment to regular engagement and collaborative initiatives aimed at building a more accountable, transparent, responsive and citizen-focused public service in Kano State.
