The Kebbi Police Command has reassured residents of its preparedness to maintain law and order before, during and after the Yuletide festivities across the state.
The assurance was given by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Bashir Usman, in a statement issued to newsmen on December 17, 2025, in Birnin Kebbi.
According to the statement, the police have deployed adequate personnel and intensified patrols across strategic locations to ensure a visible security presence aimed at preventing criminal activities and safeguarding lives and property during the festive period.
SP Bashir Usman explained that the command, in collaboration with other security agencies, has put in place enhanced security measures, including a visible show of force, to deter miscreants, improve operational visibility and proactively prevent any breakdown of law and order.
He stressed that the measures were designed to sustain the prevailing peace and ensure that residents enjoy a safe and peaceful Yuletide celebration.
The police spokesperson urged members of the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by promptly reporting any suspicious movements or emergencies.
