Deputy Governor Gwarzo highlighted that graduates of the Mass Education Agency have excelled in various fields, becoming doctors, engineers, lecturers, and judges, among other professions, and are making significant contributions to the development of Kano State and the nation.

He expressed satisfaction with the achievements of the Gwarzo Model Women Centre, noting the productive outcomes of the skill acquisition programs, including the training of 50 youths in phone repair.

He also announced that, for the first time, the Gwarzo Model Women Centre has registered 116 individuals to participate in the 2025 National Examinations Council (NECO) exams.

Danazumi assured that, under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Kano State Agency for Mass Education will receive start-up capital to support the sustainability of skills acquired through the agency.

Speaking earlier, Malam Surajo Mahe Alkali, the Acting Education Secretary for the Agency for Mass Education , reported that the agency has conducted examinations and awarded certifications to graduates at various educational levels.

Represented by Mahadi Hassan, the Agency’s Finance Director, Alkali also announced on behalf of the Commissioner, Kano State Ministry for Higher Education, that the agency will soon launch modern vocational training centres in selected LGAs across the state, including Gwarzo.

Other locations include Kano Municipal (KMC), Dala, Doguwa, and Gwale LGAs. In the Gwarzo Zone, Kabo and Shanono LGAs will benefit from training in 14 vocational skills, including makeup, hairdressing, tailoring, and other trades.

On his part, Dr. Mani Tsoho, the Interim Management Committee Chairman of Gwarzo LGA, emphasized that the Mass Education Agency has provided education and skill acquisition opportunities to women, youth, and school dropouts, from primary through secondary levels.
