The Executive Secretary of the National Agricultural Development Fund (NADF), accompanied by members of the Fund’s management team, participated in the workshop titled “Governing for Agricultural Impact: From Oversight to Outcomes,” held this week in London, United Kingdom.
The workshop brought together members of the National Assembly’s Joint Committees on Agriculture, Agricultural Production and Services to explore strategies for strengthening legislative oversight and enhancing the planning, implementation and monitoring of agricultural programmes across Nigeria.
Participants examined key issues, including public sector accountability, budget performance, policy implementation and the critical role of Parliament in ensuring that government interventions achieve measurable outcomes for farmers and the wider agricultural sector.
The participation of the NADF delegation provided an opportunity for the Fund to engage directly with lawmakers and other stakeholders on priority issues relating to agricultural financing, effective programme delivery and institutional coordination.
The engagement highlights NADF’s commitment to fostering collaboration with policymakers and relevant stakeholders to strengthen agricultural development initiatives and improve the impact of government investments in the sector.
